Ghost Halloween Costume - Adult and Kids Scary Ghost Costume For Halloween

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Halloween is a time of year where all little boys and girls parade in the streets, imaginations on overload as they ring the doorbells of various houses, and are dressed as ghosts, ghouls and monsters of all shapes and sizes. Of course, the candy makes Halloween the treat that it is, but it's the costumes that are remembered well into adulthood. A popular one is the ghost Halloween costume.

Ghost Halloween Costume

Ever since Halloween's conception, and dressing up as different monsters in hopes to grab the best candy became increasingly popular, nothing could beat the simple sheet draped over your head, two eye-holes cut out so you could see, and carrying a paper bag to collect all that candy. Every year, thousands of kids prowl the streets wearing this costume. Because it's so inexpensive to make (just grab an extra sheet from the linen closet), even people who cannot afford an expensive costume are still able to enjoy Halloween trick-or-treating. And besides, ghosts are scary. Who wouldn't want to dress up as one?

There are millions of vampires, werewolves, and of course, the typical Friday the 13th hockey Masks or Freddy Krueger's running the streets that night. If you want to stand out above the crowd, and candy and comfort is your priority, then the ghost Halloween costume is the right way to go. When everyone else has arrived home, tearing away tons of clothing, or removing layers of thick make-up off their faces, the sheet-wearers just toss aside their costume and dive immediately into their candy treasure chest.

Scary Ghost Costume

As mentioned previously, the ghost costume is inexpensive, comfortable and scary. The "boo" factor alone is what makes this costume so fun to wear, because no one knows exactly who is under the oversized fabric of doom. This coming Halloween, toss aside the expensive Masks and packets of blood and make-up. Just grab a sheet, hit the streets, and collect that candy in style with the ghost Halloween costume.

Darth Vader Halloween Costumes

Image : http://www.flickr.com

One of the biggest sci-fi hits ever made is Star Wars. Many of the fans who love these movies are also big fans of Halloween because it gives them the opportunity to dress up as one of the Star War characters. One of the most famous costumes from this series is the Darth Vader suit because some of these are truly amazing. If you get one of the high tech ones, you're sure to make an impression that gets lots of attention.

One of the best places to find Darth Vader costumes is online. There will be more of a selection and you'll be able to find the one that you truly want instead of settle for something else. You can also check out the store in your area but keep in mind that if you don't see what you want, you have the option of using the Internet to find exactly what you're searching for.

One of the great things about this costume is that it's suited for anyone. There are costumes designed just for kids and others designed for adults. They even make these costumes for pets now! Could you imagine walking your pet around in one of these outfits? That should give you a good idea of just how popular this costume really is. However, you may be a little surprised at how much one of these costumes can cost.

You can buy one of the cheap imitations that cost less than a hundred bucks. However, if you want the real thing (not a cheap imitation) then you'll want the Supreme edition but you need to be ready to pay a hefty price tag. One of these suits will cost you about seven hundred dollars and you'll need to pay an extra hundred for the light saber. That is if you want a good one. So, you're looking at about eight hundred dollars for the complete outfit but you are talking about the real thing here not some knockoff.

The Darth Vader Halloween costume may not be one of the easiest to get into but it's certainly one of the most popular. Therefore, if you plan on dressing up as the "Dark Lord of the Sith" this year, then you need to be looking for that perfect costume right now. The closer it gets to Halloween the fewer choices you'll have and all of the really great costumes just might be sold out.

How to Make the Lights and Power Go Out When Your Strobe Lightning Flashes on Halloween Night

Halloween Decorations and Halloween tricks have remained fairly stagnant over the years. I strive to load my Halloween treat bag with original, exciting treats. I will not be covering any baked goods with orange frosting, and there's no point in discussing pumpkins. Sure, we all do this stuff, but let's get a little more "cutting edge!"

Categories: Visual Effect. Cool. Clever. Technical based effect.

Skill level: Simple.

Time required: 5 to 15 minutes.

Cost: $15.00 to $20.00

"Power Interrupt"

Use your strobe lights more like lightning striking and less like a disco dance party light show by controlling them with a "winker" (or flasher) to light them up intermittently (because lightning is typically not always flashing).

Also, when the lightning strikes, have the "house" lights go out! Aside from this happening occasionally in reality (and always in scary movies) it adds more "light power" to the strobes because they are not washed out with ambient lighting. In fact, it will take you far longer to get the parts, organize everything, and read this than it will to build this Halloween Effect.

The simple idea: We will use a photo cell switch to "cut the power" when the strobes are engaged. You've seen these photocell switches before. They're typically built into light sockets for outdoor lamps. When the sun comes up, off go the lights. The only difference here is you want a photocell (search Amazon for "plug-in Lamp Photocell") that has an outlet rather than a light socket built into it.

Of course you'll want to have Thunderstorm sound effects playing during all of this. Since the speed of light is faster than the speed of sound, when you see lightning in real-life, the thunder follows afterwards. Ironically and thankfully, the random soundtrack that is not-in-sync-with the random lightning will be all-the-more life-like and convincing!

Here are the ingredients:

2 extension cords

PIN FLASHER or "winker"

Photocell switch

Night-Light (one with a small C7 "nightlight" bulb)

You'll also need:

strobe lights

tape

A "project box" to house this in---like a shoebox, food box, cardboard coffee can.

Clearly, you will also need some sort of other lights for the ambient lighting (the lighting that will "go out" with the power!)

Extension cord "A" will be your power source. You will plug this into the wall when you are finished.

1) Take the photo-cell switch and plug it into extension cord "A".

2) Plug the PIN FLASHER or "winker" into another outlet in extension cord "A".

3) Take the other extension cord, "B" and plug it into the PIN FLASHER.

4) Plug the C7 night-light into extension cord "B".

5) Plug your strobe lights into another outlet in extension cord "B."

6) Plug your ambient lights (window lights, outdoor lamps) into the outlet on the photocell switch. (300 watt max!)

The nightlight will be the light that triggers the Photocell to shut off. The enclosure will house this project so that outside light will not affect the operation.

7) Place the cords and devices into an opaque (no light can get in or out) enclosure. A shoe box or other small box is ideal. If you use one of those small plastic storage boxes (readily found at every store) then make sure it is opaque. If not, spray paint the outside of it.

8) Adjust the location of the nightlight with respect to the photocell sensor so that when the nightlight is dim or off (and strobe lights are now off) the nightlight does not provide enough light to switch the photocell off. When the nightlight is bright (and strobes are on) the photosensor should switch off.

9) Use the adhesive tape to tack down the location of the nightlight and the photocell socket so that the device works when you re-locate it to your party or outside decorated location.

That's all folks! Make certain you add this to your bag of Halloween Tricks. So few people do this "extra" effect, that you will stand out in the Halloween crowd!

It is cute to dress up kids in Halloween costumes. They look cute while walking around the neighborhood trying to be scary and frightening. Now, if you and your child get invited to a number of parties on October 31st, you should read this article to pick up some ideas on what get up your son or daughter should go as.

Selecting Halloween costumes for children might be a bit difficult to do. Some kids do not want to be dressed in these thick and spooky-looking attires. Many of them would throw a tantrum and there goes your Halloween party. So, the best thing to do in this situation is to think of a character that is well-loved by kids.

One of the first characters that come to mind is Dora the Explorer. If you have a daughter, you could dress her up in a simple shirt and a pair of shorts. Look for a small backpack that looks like what Dora carries on her back all the time. Copy Dora's hair or you could just get a wig that looks similar.

For your sons, you might want to try dressing them up as superheroes. You could buy a Superman, Batman or Spiderman suit in any mall near you. Little boys look up to these men and they want to be like them when they group. They would definitely be excited to know that they are going trick or treating wearing these costumes.

What if your kid wants to go as somebody scary? Well, you could dress them up as Dracula, a clown, or a devil. Shopping malls also have Halloween Masks and supplies which you could use to assemble the whole look. You could get plastic fangs, a colorful and bushy wig, or a fork if your child decides to go as any one of those.

There are still many children characters where you could get costume ideas from. There is a whole load of Disney characters to choose from - Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Cinderella, Snow white, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Lilo and Stitch or Minnie Mouse. Well-loved movie and television icons like Woody or Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story, Spongebob Squarepants, Harry Potter, Barney the Purple Dinosaur, Ben 10, Garfield and Winnie the Pooh can also be part of your choices. Everything usually boils down to which fictional personality your children watches all the time and loves.

Child's Halloween Cat Costume Idea and Face Paint Recipe

What will you dress your small child as this Halloween? If your little kid is over three years old, then you may be racking your brain to come up with another clever Halloween costume idea. Rather than struggling with sewing an elaborate costume to match the newest preschool fad, how about creating a charming yet simple and traditional costume? People will go 'awww how cute' when they see your little sweetie decked out in our 'Easy Child's Cat Costume' idea. Make the effect even more adorable with the appropriate face paint as well. Don't spend a fortune on face paint when you can use our 'Easy Halloween Face Paint' recipe to doll up your darling this Halloween.

Keep your child safe this Halloween by avoiding using face Masks that can hinder your child's vision and potentially cause an accident. Read on below to get started planning your kid's easy cat costume and face paint.

Easy Child's Halloween Cat Costume Idea

Piece of Cardboard for cat ears

Felt that matches your leggings and turtleneck

Plastic headband

Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Long piece of fabric or felt to make a tail

Large safety pins

Dark turtleneck

Dark leggings

Large sweatshirt (optional)

Fabric paint or fabric pens (optional)

Draw triangle shapes about 3 inches tall and 2 inches wide on the cardboard. Cut out the ears. Cover with felt using hot glue. If you use dark brown or black as your turtleneck and legging color then you can use a basic tortoiseshell or black headband. If not, then cover the headband with the same color felt as your cat ears. Glue the ears to the headband. You can easily make a cat tail by using a long piece of fabric rolled into a long tube and filled with stuffing and then hot glued at the seam. You can pin the tail on the legging seat or attach with Velcro for safety.

You can either make your cat a 'skinny' kitty with just the turtleneck and leggings, or you can add a sweatshirt in an accent color to give some added depth and warmth to the costume and your child while outside. A cute idea if using a sweatshirt is to take some fabric paints or paint pens and write cute little sayings on the shirt in whimsical lettering. Write things like 'meeoow' or 'Happy Meow-o-leen' etc. You can also draw little mouse shapes and cat paw prints. Finish your child's easy cat costume by painting a simple cat face on your child's face. Use our face paint recipe to create a cat nose, mouth outline and whiskers. If you want you can cover your child's face with a light base coat and then paint the details on. Have a medium and a small liner paint brush for different size details.

Easy Halloween Face Paint Recipe

1/2 tsp cold cream

1/2 cup

1/2 tsp water

Different colors of food coloring

Mix cornstarch, cold cream, water, and enough drops of food coloring to make the color vivid in a cup. If you're making several different colors then have more cups available. Stir well and add more cornstarch if too runny.

Why Do We Celebrate Halloween? The Amazing Truth Behind Your Halloween Traditions

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Pumpkins protect your home. To ward off demons, people in Ireland carved faces into turnips and potatoes, and set them in their windows. But when they came to the New World, they discovered pumpkins were more plentiful and easier to carve, so they switched.

Lighting a candle says "welcome". Setting out a glowing jack-o-lantern encourages protective visitors to drop by. How'd it start? Candles are a modern day version of the bonfires the early Celts built to invite wandering good spirits to stop by and warm themselves before winter set in.

Owls bring wisdom. The Druids believed Halloween night was ruled over by a goddess who disguised herself as an owl. The reason was because owls only come out at night, they were thought to be wise and have special knowledge of the spirit world.

Putting out candy brings blessings. Trick or treating on Halloween got its start in thre 9th century when poor European villagers went door to door on that night asking for currant studded soul cakes. Each donor who gave would then be blessed for the remainder of the year.

Wearing a costume scares off trouble. The idea of dressing up goes back to the Druids, who disguised themselves in elaborate costumes and Masks to dance around the Halloween fire and scare away spirits. Later, the Scottish and Irish adapted the tradition by dressing up as ghouls.

Bobbing for apples boosts your love life. The Druids believed apples represented fertility, and that the first person to successfully bob for one would be the first to marry. After catching an apple between your teeth, you were supposed to sleep with it under your pillow - to ensure dreams of your future mate.

Full moons bring a good harvest. In autumn, a full moon looks bigger and more orange, which is why it's the color of Halloween. The Celts called these "harvest moons" because they appeared only during the fall harvest.

A black cat improves your luck. Popular superstitions to the contrary, most cultures have revered black cats as lucky. And in Scandinavia, they carry the added aura of romance. It's said they pulled the chariot of Freya, the Norse goddess of passion.

Great Prizes For Your Halloween Games

Image : http://www.flickr.com

What's a game without a winner, and around the holidays, what's a winner without a prize? If you're going to plan Halloween games for your children, having some great prizes for the winner (and for all participants) can make them even more fun. Here are some ideas for awards:

  • Small Halloween Pumpkins Filled with Candy: Many children like to carry large plastic Halloween pumpkins when they go trick-or-treating. You can also find very small versions of these, which can be awesome for prizes to Halloween games. Fill them with candy or other Halloween items.

  • Stickers: Kids - both boys and girls - love Halloween stickers. These can be used to personalized school items like folders and notebooks, and you'll probably find them on your child's faces and hands as well. You can find Halloween stickers in many designs, and most are fairly inexpensive.

  • Candy Corn Filled Gloves: Find clear, plastic gloves and fill them with candy corn or, for a healthier option, popcorn. These have the "creepy" look you need for Halloween but kids absolutely love them!

  • Candied Applies: If you want to make sure that everyone gets a prize for participating, try starting a production line for candied apples. Allow the winner of the game to go first and have the kids line up to roll their applies in caramel and peanuts, small chocolate chips, or color coated candies. Everyone can make their own just they way they like it!

  • Plastic Bugs: Halloween is all about crawly, slimy things, so plastic bugs make great options. You can find these for relatively little money in just about any toy store, and most dollar stores also carry them in packs. Hide the bugs like you would hide Easter eggs and let the kids keep whichever ones they find. Just be prepared in case you find the lost ones under your pillow or between the seat cushions.

  • Coupon prizes: If you're playing Halloween games with just your children, you can give out coupons as prizes. Make them for things one day without having to make your bed or one free toy the next time you're at the mall. Kids love not having to do their chores, and these are prizes you can make pretty easily without much planning.

  • Hours of TV or Computer Time: If your kids fight over what to what on television or who gets to use the computer first, let them play a game with the winner being allowed to choose the program or use the computer first.
And what games can you play? There are tons from which to choose! If you want a more traditional game, choose bobbing for apples, but you can also pin the nose on the Jack-o-Lantern, race to "mummify" one another with toilet paper, and use magnets and paper clips to "fish" for prizes. The bottom line? Have fun with it! Join in some of the fun by getting involved yourself. Halloween games - especially if there are some prizes involved - can be great for the whole family.

Halloween and the Movies

Image : http://www.flickr.com

No other reminder of Halloween is more visible than Hollywood movies themselves. In addition, we're not just talking about high-budget horror movies here. Even the budget movies (B-movies) or "splatter" films are firm reminders of the strangeness and utter mystery of human life itself.

Movies are like mirrors of reality. It's a reflection, not really reality itself. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Halloween turned out to be something more than just homage to frightening kids out of their socks?

Horror movies & Halloween

Cultural artifacts are often complementary. Many cultural artifacts develop alongside each other, often complimenting and supporting the survival of each other. It is this particular nature of culture that has allowed the movie industry to slowly define what 'horror' is to the public.

By going deeply into the public imagination, movies are able to record on film the unconscious drives, desires and fears of the larger public. Not only because it creates profit for the producers, but also because it serves to remind the public of the real Other: the enemies of liberty, free expression and equitability.

Seventies

It was in the 1970s that horror movies really took off and became associated with the celebration of Halloween. The stock images of scary scarecrows and Jack-O-Lanterns were integrated and given a new life.

Originally, this imagery was associated with more mellow references, like the harvest itself. When the images were revitalized to fit the bill of what was Hollywood-scary, the pumpkin suddenly became a maniacal demonic creature. The scarecrow wielded a scythe and suddenly became possessed.

In short, Halloween was the time of the year where even the cutest chipmunks can become rabid rodents out for blood. It was a way for people to scare themselves silly and come back out alive.

Rollercoaster of emotions

Yes, people don't like being frightened. However, what makes horror movies like Wait until Dark palatable to the public? It was the idea that something so scary could be packaged to become less frightening and controllable.

You see, real tragedies and unfortunate human events are often beyond the control of people. This is the reason why people often recoil from real life events because it would be painful to watch and not be able to do something.

Now, when something frightening had been re-formed to be consumed while sitting comfortably in a movie theater or in the comfort of your living room, it becomes less frightening. It becomes less hostile and more controllable even for kids.

For the kids

This is the reason why many adults still want to celebrate Halloween. Without a celebration with death and the unknown as its main motifs, how can an adult teach a child about fear, horror and death without cringing?

How do you make something as horrible as death less intimidating? You use Halloween, Masks and parties. Parades are good, too. By dressing up the unknown, a message is being communicated.

The message is this: no matter how horrible real life may seem, there's always a chance that we will be able to control it. The way seems to be muddled at the moment, but let's enjoy ourselves while we seek it.

Michael Jackson Halloween Costumes

Image : http://www.flickr.com

With Halloween fast approaching, a lot of people are wanting to use the opportunity to pay homage to the King of Pop. In this article, we're going to give some possible ideas for a Michael Jackson outfit!

First, let's talk about some of the different options that we have to honor the King of Pop! Michael Jackson's amazing career has given us more than just a couple of options, but here are some of our favorites:

The Thriller Costume. This costume is not only classic and recognizable, but completely appropriate for Halloween. Wearing MJ's red and black Halloween getup will make you a hit at any party -- but if you're going to go for it, we encourage you to go the whole way! That means the sunken looking makeup, and if you can pull it off, the full Thriller dance!

The Bad Costume: This Michael Jackson Halloween costume has an advantage that many of the others don't, in that you can wear a lot of the parts of this costume year-round. The style set out my MJ in this music video are still present in today's punk rock counterculture, and if you're into that sort of look, you can keep using the different parts of this outfit when you're going "punk." Accessories range from gloves and boots, to a belt and jacket.

The Smooth Criminal Costume: What is quite possibly my personal favorite, the classic outfit worn in Smooth Criminal is just as classic as outfits from other music videos. It may seem less generic, being an all-white suit and hat, but with appropriate style and makeup, you should be instantly recognizable. If they still don't catch who you're supposed to be, then call them Annie, and ask them if they're okay.

Modern Michael Jackson outfit: The look from Michael Jackson's later years is very recognizable, and the one that's been present on the media the most. A lot of people are selling costumes that can make this Michael Jackson Halloween costume an outfit one that you could pull off without having to buy a lot of extra pieces! After all, he was frequently just wearing a suit and sunglasses. There are also people selling Masks, but with how unflattering these Masks are, I would personally take those as disrespectful.

As I mentioned, these are just some of our favorite ideas! Costumes from "Beat It" and "Billy Jean" are also options, as are his more classic look from the 1980s, or even just throwing on a glove and grabbing yourself while shouting "I'm bad" Whatever sort of Michael Jackson Halloween costume you decide to go for, the biggest faux pas this year to avoid is that of in any way attempting to portray the late great King of Pop as a pedophile. I want to remind everyone that those allegations were not only never proven, but the psychiatrists evaluation made things very plain! Michael Jackson didn't abuse kids. He was a kid himself. He had been robbed of his childhood to stand in the lime light, and we're the ones who gained from that. Disrespecting him and his memory is something that should be avoided at all costs, especially in the year of his death.

So long as you obey that rule, your options are basically endless! Try mastering some Michael Jackson moves, and vocal styles, in addition to the Michael Jackson Halloween costume, and you're sure to be the hit of whatever Halloween party you go to.

Fabulous and Freaky Costumes for Halloween

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Halloween would never be Halloween without a costume party. "Dress up as your favorite ghost or ghoul" says the invitation card. Then we encounter the question of: "What should I go as?" Irrespective of whether we are horror movie fans, there is no denying that we all enjoy the thought of giving people a scare.

Halloween allows us to go about scaring people without being reprimanded in return. From children to senior citizens, we all love to dress up as our favorite nightmares. On the night of October 31 every year, our peaceful streets become infested by characters that seem straight out of the horror movies. It is like A Nightmare on Elm Street in real life.

Dressing up for Halloween can be an uphill task. But it can also be the simplest thing in the world. Stitch up the sides of a big wide bed sheet, cut out two holes for the eyes, and a ghost costume will be ready and waiting. Of course, that could be simplifying things a little too much, unless one really wants to be a ghost. For the more complicated outfits, one can simply walk over to a costume rental store and pick out a costume.

There are so many outfits that one can choose from. You could go as a witch with a broom or as a zombie. You could get one of those skeleton costumes where the bones are painted in luminous colors. The point is to look frightening. The question is how far would you go? These days, it is not at all difficult to find the perfect costume. Costume stores cater to all kinds of tastes. So even if you want to stay away from looks out of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, you would still have many looks to choose from. Superhero movies tend to provide a lot of inspiration when it comes to Halloween costumes.

However, just the clothes do not make the look. You need Halloween Masks as well. Luckily, these days one can buy really realistic-looking Halloween Masks. So if you are hoping to go to the next Halloween party dressed as a zombie, don't worry about how you can complete the look. There are bound to be terrific zombie masks to satisfy your need for blood and gore. Moreover, with the development of silicon masks that bear a closer resemblance to human flesh, Halloween costumes are becoming extremely realistic. Dressing up for Halloween has never been this much fun.

There is no Halloween without a great halloween mask. We have just the perfect site for halloween masks and zombie masks. Come get pretty or ugly, your choice.

The Perfect Scary Halloween Mask - this Halloween Makeup Idea is a Recipe for Horror

Image : http://www.flickr.com

What Lies in Granny's "Crypt"-ic Cupboard?

Searching for a scary Halloween mask? This halloween makeup idea is not for the faint-hearted! This gruesome brew is for those who love the horror of HELL-oween. If you are nifty enough, Granny's goodies could turn you into this!

The base of this Halloween makeup design is plain gelatin and strawberry jam. Remember, although this recipe sounds ghoulishly delicious, it's not to be eaten!
Follow directions on the gelatin box, adding the proper ratio of boiling water to plain gelatin. To this, add about 1/3 ratio of glycerine to your mixture. (Glycerine is available in most pharmacies.) The glycerine will prevent the gelatin from cracking and give you ghoulish lasting power. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and simmer for five minutes. When it starts to cool, skim off the milky froth that floats to the top. Clear gelatin is all that should remain.

Pour part of the gelatin mixture into a cup that you will work from. You can reheat the remaining mixture on the stove or just microwave the cup you are working with, as the mixture will cool and become difficult to work with.

Take your artist's spatula and put a small amount of gelatin on the back of your wrist to test the temperature. The mixture should be warm and fluid, but not uncomfortably hot to the skin. Now apply the gelatin to the face as if you were icing a cake.

Purposely do some sections of your subject's face thicker than others to develop different textures and levels. The gelatin will want to drip sometimes, so catch these drips with the tip of your spatula and change their direction so they don't set. Do one layer, let it dry and proceed with the next layer. As each layer gets tacky, use the tip of the spatula to create nooks and crevices. After 3 to 5 layers have been completed, you can create small holes to look like open, rotting wounds! (For those of you that are completely grossed by this Halloween mask, stick to lip gloss!)

Take the tip of your artist's spatula and carefully dig a little hole through the layers until you arrive at the skin. You must be careful not to scratch the skin for
obvious reasons - it hurts. A pair of cuticle scissors will help snip away small parts of gelatin to create large craters. Now fill the small holes and craters with strawberry jam (no tasting) and let the jam bleed slightly out of the wound.....Yum!

Ghouls in training may take this scary Halloween mask a step further by darkening the eyes with red, purple and black eye shadows. A grey and blue eye pencil will give a gorgeously ghastly color to the mouth. And remember, no nibbling on the jam, just on your victims.

The Ultimate Halloween Party Game

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The best game I have ever played at Halloween is one I call "Guess What This Is!". It can be the most fun and seriously disgusting game could ever come across -- and it is all what you want to make it. I do not know if it is referenced by any other names, I just know that it is my absolute favorite freak-out game that I got from my mother-in-law. It is a "touch and feel" guessing game, but with a twist. Here is how the game is played:

1. Put something horribly smelly in a box. Tell them they are going to be trying to identify the items they touch, but that they get to smell it first.

2. Pair the smelly object with something that makes sense -- in the same box. For instance, my mother-in-law (yes, she really did this to her kids) put doggie doodie in a box on one side, and a ripe peeled banana on the other side. Believe me, a banana was not exactly what they thought they touched, but it is a great match for the game.

3. Blindfold the player or team, and begin. Cut a small "smell hole" on one side of the box. Hold the box up at nose level and have them sniff. Then, turn the box around, have the same player reach in and touch it and try and guess what it is. It is completely gross and one of the funniest things to watch. Do it by teams or individually, depending on your number of people.

This game is an awesome opportunity for some great laughs and disgusting Halloween fun. Whoever guesses the most items right wins. Just be sure you remember to keep the paired items straight... make sure they do not accidently touch the smelly stuff!

Adult Costumes - Should You Wear a Costume on Halloween?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Adult costumes for Halloween can be quite tricky. After all, after reaching a certain age, a lot of people find it a little juvenile to celebrate this particular holiday. However, there are those who still don their one-of-a-kind costumes with pride and enthusiasm. So, should you get dressed for Halloween, then? There happen to be quite a few adult costumes out there in today's market, but what you need to do is determine if you should waste both your time and dignity getting dressed for a Halloween party to begin with.

What will probably hold the most importance in deciding this annual question is your posse. Do you and your best friend keep a tradition of choosing each other's costumes before making your appearances at a party? If so, then you should have no trouble deciding what to do.

Another thing to consider is where your this costume will be worn. Also, how often would your wigs and tights have to be worn throughout the entire Halloween week or month? Several people out there happen to love getting dressed for Halloween whenever they can, donning trendy adult Halloween costumes at every holiday party and even to school or work. If you have plans of going to various places wearing your adult Halloween costume, then you should definitely look into investing in one for the holidays.

Keep in mind that adult costumes don't always mix well with work, though. Depending on what job you have, you might not be able to wear an adult Halloween costume that you want to wear - holiday or not. Now, if you end up getting the go signal to wear one, do be mindful of the people around you and choose your adult Halloween costume accordingly. Some women tend to find certain adult costumes too revealing for the workplace, so try to find female adult Halloween costumes that will not come across as offensive to anybody. The same goes for guys, too, of course, though this is hardly a problem when it comes to their adult Halloween costumes nowadays.

Also, think about how much space there is at work. If you have to work inside a small cubicle, you may want to wear a small adult Halloween costume to match it. Remember: adult costumes do not always have to range from head to toe. Mere headbands with fluffy ears and some face paint can give off a festive feeling while not being intrusive to those around you.

Want to find some great adult Halloween costumes? Then visit this website to find the ideal adult costumes for you and your friends today.

How to Make Your Own Masquerade Party Masks

Surly you must realize that masquerade ball Masks weren't always purchased on the Internet! Think about it for a second. Back around three hundred years ago in Europe, they didn't even have electricity! So even if they had computers back then, there was no place on the wall to plug them in! What this meant is that a lot of people were left to make their own masquerade party Masks.

You Probably Have Everything You Need In Your Home

So where can you start and how will your final product turn out? The fact is that you don't need any special skills and it's something that your kids and all their friends will love doing. In fact you probably have everything that you need right in your home, once you begin searching around.

Mix Up Some Paper Mache' Batter In a Bowl

Your going to have to first whip up a bowl of paper mache paste and that's real easy. Simply throw about a cup of plain white four in a bowl and add water until it becomes a "thin runny" batter. Next add about a teaspoonful of salt to work as preservative and you're good to go. Remember to keep it in the refrigerator though, between uses.

Are You Ready To Make Your First Masquerade Party Masks?

Next your going to need a balloon that you're going to inflate and some newspapers that you're going to tear into strips about an inch wide. Now with just these things you can begin making your first masquerade ball Masks. Simply dip the strips of paper in the paper mache' batter and lay them on the balloon after you squeeze off the excess batter.

Use Regular Paints, Glue & Glitter To Finnish Them Off

Cover half the balloon and let the project dry. When you pop it off, you'll have a basic shape of a face. Next, cut out the mouth and eye holes, finish them up with some smaller dipped strips and after that's dry, it will be ready for painting. Drizzle some glue and add some glitter if you want then use thick rubber bands for the straps to hold the masquerade party ball masks to your head.
